Kathy shared a few reasons as to why she participates in Technology Ball, “The opportunity to ‘give back’ to an organization that focuses on the work of my career. Helping students, other technology professionals and the Technology Ball organization itself is really rewarding. Technology Ball is unique in its offerings and flows well with our schedules and time to connect. The events are convenient and in a relaxed, fun and beautiful setting. The rewards touch lives.”
Technology Ball is proud to support STEM students through our partnership with the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UTD. At the 2018 Gala, Deloitte presented the inaugural Illuminated Mind Scholarship to Nitin Malik, an Information Technology and Management student. He reflected on the application process, “The Illuminated Minds scholarship majorly helped to reduce the financial stress of going for an SAP certification which I was planning to take for a few years. This certification costs 1000’s of dollars and thanks to Technology Ball and Deloitte, I am able to pursue it now. Taking courses like digital transformation, managing digital strategy and Marketing management has also been possible due to the scholarship and the motivation of the mentors from the Technology Ball.”
“The Technology Ball staff did a fantastic job reacting to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this challenging time, they were able to pivot to ensure Technology Ball sponsors and Executive Hosts were able to engage in a networking environment. The new virtual happy hours create an intimate atmosphere allowing for Sponsors and Executive Hosts to interact on a personal and professional level. After our first virtual happy hour, we were able to secure a meeting with an Executive Host that we’ve been pursuing for over three years. I’m honored to be a part of the Technology Ball and everything it supports.”
