DIGITAL CONDUIT/Technology Ball is a proud philanthropic partner of the Dallas Foundation, a community foundation with an 80-year history. Through this partnership, The Dallas Foundation will provide fiduciary oversight and nonprofit governance over Technology Ball’s philanthropic elements, to ensure that we continue to build upon MentorNet’s impact story through net proceeds raised by Technology Ball.
Although our Technology Ball family is continually growing, many of our participating Hosts and Sponsors have been a part of the Ball since it served as the annual fundraiser for a nonprofit organization. When the nonprofit organization closed its doors last year, we established DIGITAL CONDUIT to keep the Technology Ball active and thriving in the Dallas marketplace. DIGITAL CONDUIT is pleased to be operating as a “corporation for good” – a for-profit organization that donates net proceeds to our nonprofit partner, MentorNet, similar to TOMS Footwear, Ben & Jerry’s or Newman’s Own.
The partnership with the Dallas Foundation allows the Technology Ball team to focus on relationship building with our Executive Hosts and Sponsors, as well as event coordination details, while leaving the good work in the community to a team with that specific expertise. In just one year, the Technology Ball team has already been able to bring significant financial impact to MentorNet with this formula. This allows MentorNet to receive an unparalleled fundraising event opportunity and visibility before key targets in the technology community, without dedicating any staff resources, whatsoever, to the efforts!
Thank you for being a part of the Technology Ball family and contributing to the continued success of our nonprofit beneficiary, MentorNet. Feel free to contact the team with question or comments.
